Learn from life

Life is a teacher which teaches us to live. We may have felt many times in our life that life only favors rich, strong and bright people only, but that is very wrong in my opinion. If we deeply see the reasons for every little thing that happens in our life we may find so many clues of hidden favors for us, favors that awaiting to help us. Allah never wants us to fail instead Allah wanted us to learn, grow and win in our life by learning from every single little thing that happens in our life. When we first tried to walk we fell several times but we stood up and kept trying until we succeed in doing it. That is how our life is. We may fail several times but it is the strength and faith that we need to stand up and move on with our life. In the journey of our life we may have to travel in the roads full of thorns. Pain and wounds may weak us from going ahead but some day in our life we will come to realize that pain is worth to be felt. Looking back and seeing your life different from yesterday is not a time to sit back and regret but a moment to start learning. As in a saying “As we sail through life, don’t avoid storms and rough waters, just let it pass. Just sail always remember, Calm seas never make skillful sailors.”

We need to learn things not only from our own life but also from the things that we see. We need to learn from the genius creation of Allah. What does the animals in the jungle teaches us? When land in a jungle get dried. Animals live there start their journey in search of a grass land, In the heat of the sun in the devastating Storms and by crossing the river full of life threatening carnivals. Why do they risk their life? Not because they want to die but because they know the heaven lying other side of the river. They never wanted to stay back and die without a food instead they risk their life. At the end when the grass land comes to their view it is the moment their heart fill with relief and peace.

Life is up to us to make it sweet or sour. We need to add flavors and balance the taste so than only we can feel the real taste of it. Sometimes to catch the dreams we keep running behind it for a long time, some people give up at some point while others keep running and others enjoy it. It’s true we need not to give up on things but we need to let go things that which are not really mean for us. Wasting our time on things that never ease us will cheat us one day and leave us restlessly in grief. So it would be better to swim for the thing that has a value. Time is most important in life. Time may go in a glimpse of an eye, before time fail us we need to run along with time by hearing beat of each and every second of it and responding to it with our heart and mind.

This is one of my newly created 2D Animation. Below I have uploaded only the trailer of the movie.

Animation is a field I am very interested in and like to do more studies in the field. To do this animation I did self studies and created it based on my idea. Hope u would like the trailer. Full movie would be published after completion of final touches.

Now I am learning 3D animation and hope to publish an animation /characters in near future.

Crescent art is name given for my art and animation. Crescent art & design web site is in stage of design, I am trying to make it available as soon as possible.

Story of the fairy fallen from the sky

Night was beautiful, Sky was plentiful
I was walking under the sparkling moonlight
Just to make a rest I took a seat under a shed
Beautiful breeze kept a breathtaking scent in the air
I kept a long gaze at the dark blue sea.
Sea was lit by the moonlight with twinkling water rays
Pure darkness was behind me surrounded with tall trees
Seagulls kept flying by obscuring the moon
I spent few minutes watching the millions of stars in the sky
Suddenly I saw a brighter star coming closer to the earth
It came closer and closer to the earth and started to land on earth
It landed few foots from me into the white sand beach
It was so bright and sparkled that I was forced to cover my eyes
It was a fairy fallen from the sky
She was wearing a white long dress which glowed like a moon
Two wings of her were glittered with thousands of colors
Her Soft brown hair kept spreading in the air with the wind
Her eyes sparkled like a diamond which made everything on earth shy away.
Her shining red lips kept whispering vocals.
I couldn’t believe my eyes; I kept looking at her without a blink.
She gave me a smiling gaze and from that moment the story begins.

Life is full of problems. The more you solve them, the more new ones come up. And you can sweep problems under the carpet or run away from them. Wherever you go, sooner or later there will be problems for you to solve. Since this is a fact of life, you may as well develop some skills on how to handle problems in life. Here are some insights on how to deal with problems in life so that you may achieve success and happiness.

One of the best ways to handle problems is to have the right attitude towards them. Sometimes problems may be blessings in disguise. Problems may be a way that existence is trying to assist us to create opportunities for us to grow and become better human beings. Problems can hide opportunities not only for personal growth but also to create wealth and success.

For every problem, there should be a solution. Whenever you encounter any problem that has no solution, you may well understand that it is not a problem to begin with. Problems are also the first step in a new invention.

Dr. Scholl's foot medications would not be around if people had not had problems with corns, calluses and other ailments.

We wouldn't have automobiles today if people had not had problems getting from place to place quickly.

Every single invention was created because people had problems with something, so problems can really be motivational!

Problems also help you to meet new friends. If you are recently divorced, you may join a group and meet some wonderful friends that will bring you into a better life than the life you were living previously.

Problems also are always a learning experience. You don't actually realize
that fire burns until you get burned with it!

Unless a problem occurs, you do not learn why something happens the way it does. You cannot change your viewpoints and opinions unless you experience problems first hand.

Problems also cause you to become active in helping others. The organization M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) would have never been born if the founder didn't lose her daughter in a car accident caused by a drunk driver.That one death has literally changed all the drunk driving laws throughout
the United States and saved MILLIONS of lives!

Problems and mistakes are also a blessing in disguise. For instance, Post-It(R) Notes would never have been made possible unless the guy at the factory didn't mess up mixing the glue recipe. Sure, this is an isolated incident, but it shows just how important mistakes and problems can be.

However, most people have some perceived notion that making a mistake or having a problem is "bad." Instead of looking for ways to SOLVE the problem, they try to live with it, cover it up or condition themselves to accept it.This is silly! There is no problem that can't be solved. There is a solution to every single problem you can think of.

Stop trying to make people think you are problem-free. It's unnatural! When you solve a problem that most people try to avoid or can't solve, you get recognition and their admiration. You may become a hero or heroine. So, next time you have a problem, look at it logically and with enthusiasm. That may sound a little strange but most problems can be dealt with this way.

Love the fact that you have problems because they will give you something to work on and solve. They also will give you a way to invent new ways of doing something, new ways that will save you time and make you happier with your life. And when you solve problems, you not only gain experience in solving other problems as they occur, but you build respect for yourself.

Then you can have the admiration of all those people who encountered the same problems but didn’t do anything to solve them. You also will find that when you look at problems with a POSITIVE mind, you will accomplish more, relieve stress and succeed.

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

When grief goes beyond the blues

For most people the passage of time helps rebuild lives after losing a loved one, but for others it may takeover their lives and need specific treatment, say Australian researchers.

Researchers from the Traumatic Stress Clinic at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Westmead Hospital are testing a new way to deliver cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), a type of psychotherapy known to be effective for depression and anxiety.

Study leader, Professor Richard Bryant from UNSW, says 'prolonged grief disorder', which has recently been recognised as a significant clinical condition, requires a grief-specific form of CBT.

"In recent years there has been new interest in the finding that losing a loved one by death can cause real mental health problems," says Bryant.

"Most people initially experience intense sadness arising from longing or yearning for the deceased. But if these reactions persist six months after the death their grief can become complicated or stalled, preventing them from moving on with their lives."

Bryant says that there is considerable evidence that people with this disorder suffer marked impairment beyond the effects of depression. Read more

Build Your House Wisely

An inspiring Story

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!

What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

(A short Imaginary Story)

In Ali’s dream he was walking alone down the roads .On one road he cross he found lots of people. Laughing and enjoying their life. And from the second road he cross he saw lots of people again .But they were not laughing they were crying in pain .Wiping the tears purred from his eyes he started to walk again. After few minutes of walk he saw a bridge, a bridge to a land full of darkness .He doesn’t know what’s beyond that bridge; he thought he’ll pass no matter what happens. he cross the bridge and found a land full of trees and flowers of different fragrances .He started to walk again with a smile on his face .All of a sudden whole place turned into a desert where no lives were there expect him .Ali walked days in the desert searching for a life.

He fell lots of time but tried to make his strength .All of a sudden he saw a well he quickly went and drank some water .While he was drinking water from the bucket .he saw a shadow coming towards him. He Looked behind and saw a man looking right at him .He asked him: "Hey Boy Why Are you so worried" .And he replied "I am lost" .And the man said: Follow me then I'll guide you and soon you can find a way out of here .And he followed Him .While Ali kept following him he felt much better .Sometimes Ali loose him from his site .But soon Ali follow Him It feels better .And Ali kept following the man. Ali woke up from the dream and whispered in grief “You are the only hope left for me.” [END]

Surprise Birth Day Party

I don’t know where to start coz it’s really awkward. I really was surprised for the unexpected birthday party thrown for me. It was well arranged that I couldn’t even get a clue about the party arrangements.

I and my friends planed to go watch the Iron man movie long day back but we couldn’t get spare time to go and watch the movie. But after few days later my friends made a sudden arrangement to go to the movie on 14^th may which came out to be my birthday. I thought I will not let my friends know about my birthday because if they knew they will first ask for the treat.. I wanted to give the treat to all of them but by the time my pocket money was totally zero for the month so I thought I’ll keep it as a secrete until I get money. But things came out to be opposite all my friends knew about my birthday week before and they kept me in dark pretending that they don’t know about it. Zando my friend is really a good actor. He never let me get any clue about the surprise party arrangements done by Ibu and afsal, by the involving him..

My friend Zando and my friends took me out to watch the movie so that Ibu (My own younger brother) and Afsal (My brother Best friend) could decorate home for the surprise party. After watching movie I came back home with my friend Zando and when I get into the house the house was ready to give me surprise party. I was really surprised when the time I saw the people and blue color decorations and flash light of the cams.. I was really confused about the way it all was arranged. Sitting room was decorated very nicely with blue color shining papers and dark and light blue color balloons. A very nice cake was made and neighboring children and my friends were also present at the party to surprise me. First I thought I am experiencing a dream. . hehhe. . That was the greatest and unforgettable surprise party I have ever had.. I thank a lot to ibu and afsal for the hard work they did to give me a surprise party. Especially for the decorations done. Truly it all means me a lot. I thank all who involved in giving me this surprise party. Was really an excellent one. I had a great day with all of them and my friends.

" Life without a friend is death without a witness "

God created this world and created us (Humans) to live on it, Created animals, big forests, waterfalls, mountains and oceans to fulfill the living things needs. Apart from all of this, one of the greatest gifts given by god to us is friends.

Friends are there for lots of reason not only to entertain us but also to guide us when we are in trouble or in the moment of sorrow. They motivate us to attain our goal. They will stand by our side when we need a support.

Friends will challenge us to attain our original limits with encouragement when we allow ourselves not to go beyond our reasonable boundaries. Friends will motivate us when we’re ready to give in, and they can provide for us when life falls apart. Friends are there when all is well, and we want someone with whom to share life’s pleasant and memorable moments. We often just want them around, to have a good time, to laugh, to act silly; to enjoy some mutually liked activity.

In life we share most of the time with friends. We can't share some topics with our parents but we can share any topic, with friends. Friends research that topic as a judge and tell us the good's and bad's.

Friendship is like a banyan tree. Banyan tree seed is very small, but when it comes out of earth nothing can stop its growth. The same applies to friendship also. Friendship will reside in our heart like the banyan tree seed. When it finds the correct soil in another heart it starts its growth. At one stage when you get friendlier with that person it will become tree after that nothing in this world can stop it. Friends will try to find new ways to make you not to fall. Friends may not save but they never let you go to deep. Friends find innovative ways to stop you from falling and try to get some more help to lift you.

I am thankful to god for giving me friends. They have brightened my life. I always can feel their hand on mine when ever I need them. I thank all my friends for being good friends of mine.

People come into your life for a Reason

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

A Sight Seeing Visit to Mount lavinia Beach

Day before yesterday we made our visit to Mount lavania beach. We went by buss and had to walk for few minutes to reach the final frontier. Beach was crowded with people of all the ages. Children and elders enjoyed playing beach games while others enjoyed in the sea swimming and playing. We went just for a sight seeing so we didn’t get involved in playing anything, we just enjoyed by taking photos and eating chips.

As the sun started to set clouds started filling with color of orange, yellow and red. It looks like as an artist started drawing in the sky. It was so beautiful. At the same time the blue sea turned to orange and sight looked as we were in an orange world. Sun looked much brighter and yellowish which made world to stare at it. Beautiful breeze and singing waves added extra beauty and showed the miracles of god at it best. We kept taking photos until the darkness of the night falls. We headed to buss stop to go home after having a superb day.

A Remarkable Outing

Day before yesterday after the class I and three of my friends went to Shahu (One of my friend) place in the buss to collect an advertisement from him. After spending few minutes at his place I and other two friends headed to Galle road to pick a buss to go to home. It was a very sunny and hot day so we were very tired and couldn’t resist without drinking anything. So we headed to a small café and took apple soda to drink and something to eat. After cooling our thirst we headed to the buss stop to go home. After coming back to home I got ready to go Mount lavinia beach with my house mates.

When we headed to buss stop weather started to change and all of a sudden black clouds covered the blue sky and rain drops started to soak the earth. But we hoped that it Want be raining heavily and we picked a buss and headed to our destination. When we arrived at the second buss stop to pick another buss to go to the Mount lavinia beach it almost started raining heavily, traffic has started to jam and people without umbrella's were running here and there to find a cover. Luckily we were inside the buss at that time but also unlucky that buss was so crowded with people soaked with water and we had to stand up and stay without having a seat to sit. After more than 10 minutes of struggles in the buss we were able to reach a buss stop where we can take another buss to change our root to go back instead of going to beach. We got wet in the rain and came back home without accomplishing our plan. But we had a great day in the rain and once again enjoyed a day in the rain which reminded me of my childhood. I never felt bad because the plan was ruined but felt happier to have a surprise enjoyment.

I did this drawing 2 yrs back using Corel draw just to do a still life using corel. It’s not that complicate to do a drawing like this by using Corel draw basic shapes (Normally Square and circle), and if you know how to bring the curves to the object its not a big deal.Color shades are also an important aspect and it plays a major role in bringing the object to life. Here I have included a simple lesson for you try using Corel draw. Trust me it’s very easy and if you keep practicing you can do nice drawings like the one I have done.

STEPS

*Open a new file from Corel draw

*Select the Ellipse tool from the tool bar (or just click F7) and Draw a circle in the middle of the page.

*Select the fill tool and there you can find a dialog call fountain fill (or simply click F11)

*From the fountain fill menu you can find “color blend” and from there select the “custom” option.

*When custom option menu is open look at the top left corner of the menu there you can find “Type” option from there select Radial

*From color blend adjust the color shade and click ok.

*Select the object (circle) and select the interactive Drop shadow tool from the too bar and apply it.

*Below picture shows how it would look like after following the steps given above.

Memories . . . . .

My Exam has finish today and I am feeling very much relief. Phew. . . .But have no time to rest my final exam of the semester is still ahead smiling at me. Anyways today I kept those worries apart and lit up the candle and opened my book of past filled with dust and spider webs. Book is old. Coz it’s filled with memories of 16+ years back. But I was amazed when I opened the book all the words were just like the same without any color fades. No page was eaten by bookworm or by any bug. Everything was same like as it was.

After turning few pages from the book I came across a title name “Childhood” It sounded interesting for me and quickly I started renewing those memories, at the same time I kept writing down some inspiring memories of those days to publish on this blog.

Childhood for me is like living a life dreaming, dreaming things that we never expect to own, but building dreams which act as a building blocks to build our future. In the same process as people do in their childhood. I also dreamed of lots of things and shared and enjoyed those moments with my friends of childhood. Going school is the place where I meet my friends. Everyday instead weekdays waking up morning, having a bath in the morning cold, having breakfast with milk and biscuit, going school with father in the morning breeze, joining friends in the class rooms and concentrating what teacher teaches came to be my very memorable days. Those feelings those time I sill remember as it is still picturing in front of my eyes.

School is my second home where I learn new things, a place where I experience new spices in life. Those days songs we sang were different, Way we sat and way we talked were different, Things we enjoyed were different. For me one of the most special and enjoyable day that comes within the year is school party or class party day. I like class party very much especially when it comes for decorating stage. Decorating class with colorful papers, balloons and cartoons really make me feel happy. And when it comes to say good bye to classrooms we studied and enjoyed with friends cannot be said as a happy ending. As we all know life goes on. And there comes time we cannot stop and have to move on with life.

Childhood is filled with lots of mysterious experiences; those days those moments cannot be expresses within few lines. What I can say is my childhood is like golden days.

You Need love

As Everybody will agree that human race would have ended long ago if love was not there within us. Even the most riches people in this world needs love. They can pretend that they need no love. But the truth is we all need love, one way or the other.

Love is... Something that should be felt everyday. Love doesn't need to be extraordinary, it can be ordinary.

Part of your life -- like a cup of tea, a daily newspaper, or a morning run. Love is very simple. Love is listening. Listening to people. Don’t wait for your turn to talk. Look them in the eyes. Care about what they are saying. Love is acknowledging. Acknowledge people for who they are. Not for what you want them to be. Just acknowledge them.

Think about all the people who support you. Your mother, your father ,our friends and your partner. Just Acknoledge them. Tell them what a difference they make for you.

Pretend that they don’t know the obvious. And State the obvious like its never been heard before. Tell them how much you love them and care.

Here I have uploaded one of very cool animated video of crazy frog. Out of Crazy frog video's one I like most is "Axel F", that video is very cool one for me. I tried to uploload the "Axel F" to this site through blogger video player but unluckily it's file size was big and takes lots of time to upload to due to that reason I uploaded this Crazy frog popcorn video. In "Axel F" Some of the funny parts for me are when crazy frog sings "bam bam, ding ding" . Most of all the slow mortion part was really kool and funny, I like it.

My life in Sri Lanka
Some Inspiring Lines

I started my journey few years back, in search of my destination. Knowing that rough seas ahead, but hoping to sail my boat on a safe harbor.

The first step I took on deciding to come Sri Lanka has been one of my wisest Decision ever made. If I did step back that day instead of coming here I could have not achieve even this little knowledge, experience, nice people and cool friends I got encountered.

Here I have met with different people, experienced different things out of that I am so happy that I have got a chance to make good friends out from a strange country. They came to my life and I met them just for a reason. Some way somehow I needed help from them, even they ask help from me. I am thankful for god filling my days with Sweet fragrance of flowers instead of leaving me alone in this country.

Every single person I met from here is so special for me, one way or the other. They showed there world, a new world. They gave me a chance to be with them a chance for me to learn new things adding new experiences to my life.

Living abroad away from parents and loved ones are the painful moments that I count in my life. But I kept my strength strong. I always can feel there hands on my hands.

This little knowledge, experience friends and people are just because of them, their support. I will not forget a single little thing I got from my parents and from my family. They came to be my compass on the way of my journey to show me the way. And god help me surviving every stormed I came across.

Being in Sri Lanka I faced not only with good experiences. But also experienced a small fragment of horrors of war. Sri Lanka is under a revenge war between Tamils and Sinhalese, Fighting for land. This was started two decades ago. Until now they are still on their fight.

Lots of bomb blast took place in the city and near by cities. Even the bomb blast took place near by my institute; even on the roads where I travel to go to the institute. Heavy gun fires and military jets took their mission in front of my eyes. It was more than a nightmare. But I kept my fear apart. Just because I always can feel god is with me, with us.

I got the chance to be in a country under war for more than two decades, met with new people with different attitudes. Been with them and heard there life songs. When the day comes for me to leave this beautiful country, after my studies will be the one of the hardest day in my life. I will be missing my friends, and people I met from here. I will not forget every single minute I spent here. It will stay as a milestone in my life.

Traveling by bus

Ever since I came to Sri Lanka I have used bus for very few times. Instead of using bus I always use three-wheeler as medium for transport, we have a hired three-wheeler who is paid monthly so I never use to travel by bus to go anywhere regularly.

Here I am going to share with you a day that I traveled by a bus. I have used bus 4 or 5 times but I don’t have that much skill to follow the steps while using bus. Now you might be thinking that is traveling by bus is a sophisticated one? I have to say “No”. Only thing is to get into right bus and get out for the right place. Also there are things we have to be cautious about. When bus is traveling and if you try to jump on to the bus you have to be very careful about your steps. If you miss the stairs on the bus something serious might happen.

I never Use to jump on to a bus when it is on its move. But I did Jump out when it was on speed. That’s the funny part. And it happened by an accident.

That day I went with two of my Sri Lankan and a Maldivian friend on our way to a shop in Dhehivalla (A district in Sri Lanka). It took around 30 minutes to Dhehiwalla by bus. We were waiting for the Dhehiwalla bus stop.

When the bus stop came to our sight people who are supposed to get out to Dehiwalla bus stop started creating a crowed near the bus door. One of them was me.

Bus was not on its high speed but it was slowing down to stop to one of the Dhehiwalla bus stop. While some of the men already jumped out. I never used to jump out when bus is moving. So I waited for a while for bus to become for a halt. When I knew Bus was on a halt, but all of a sudden when I made my choice of jumping. Bus took a little speed forward. I was shocked when I saw the moving ground and me in the air. Eeheeheh.

When my foot hit on the ground I knew that I was out of my balance. But Luckily I was able to controlle my balance instead of falling to the concrete ground. I took that jump because I thought bus was on a halt. Friends of mine came laughing at me. They knew that I am new to bus. So they didn’t make much joke about what happened.

If an artist can draw his visual image on a paper, y can’t our dreams that flow cannot bring to life. Ya! It’s true if we dream to achieve something we have to work hard on it. In a Quote written by Robert Townsend says. “If you shoot for the stars and hit the moon, it's OK. But you've got to shoot for something. A lot of people don't even shoot.”

So Let us work hard to achieve our goals. Don’t lay low. Don’t be on sorrow. Stand up and start to color your dreams with beautiful colors with an enormous effort. God will make our dreams come true.

Shock as Mississippi bridge falls

Seven people died after an entire span of the I-35W motorway bridge in the city of Minneapolis plunged into the river on Wednesday evening.

A local journalist told the BBC how cars tumbled into the river after the bridge "just snapped right in half".

Andy Schwich, 29, told Reuters: "I saw them carrying up a body - I don't know if he was alive or dead."

As Facebook evolves from a university social network into an enterprise tool, VeriSign iDefense security experts are warning that the platform is turning into a prime attack vector for cybercriminals.

Ryan Olson, a United States-based analyst for VeriSign's iDefense operations against the proliferation of malicious code, said that while thousands of applications being developed by third parties for Facebook users are enriching the social network's functionality, the Facebook Platform provides a perfect channel for distributing malicious software.

"The potential is there, and the framework is there," Olson said.

"Rather than putting it in our terms of service that you promise not to breach our security and putting the onus on us, we are just going to open it up slowly over time," Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said in June.

Trip to leisure world

28 June 2007 was one of a remarkable outing we made this year. Since last year trip to havens in Sri Lanka this year again we planed a trip to one of the amazing place in Sri Lanka. This time was not a sight seen but it was a trip to a land full of excitement. Yes I am talking about a Theme park (leisure world). It’s a cool place to go and have fun.

Lots of Water activities was there like: Thunder Cruise, wave pool, Lazy River, Crazy cruise, Lake Rides with Paddle Boats and many more. A tropical Rain Forest with around 50 species that are available at Sinharaja Rain Forest are planted and grown.

Lots of food courts were also there but when the time came choosing a meal we got stuck. After few minutes of visits from one food court to another we manage to take a fried rice meal. We had our lunch outdoor under the shed provided by the food court. 5:00 o’ clock in the evening we went back home after having a cheerful excitement. It was really fun.

LAPTOP USERS

Laptop users should purchase a laptop stand , so that the keyboard and screen are elevated to a more suitable height and position. If possible attach a separate keyboard and mouse, so that you are best able to position the keyboard, mouse and screen. Laptop use is a major source of musculo-skeletal problems, and using a laptop for any length of time without a laptop stand, and separate keyboard and mouse, will cause poor posture which is likely to cause neck, back, and arm pain

ORGANISE YOUR WORKING DAY

Try and ensure your computer work is interspersed with other jobs. Rotate activity to avoid long periods of time in front of the screen. Short frequent breaks are much more effective in reducing muscle fatigue than taking longer breaks less often. During your breaks: DO - Get out of your seat, stretch your legs, arch your back, walk around for a couple of minutes, try Pause Gymnastics (see below). DON'T - remain seated at your desk.

PAUSE GYMNASTICS

These are simple movements designed to move joints and stretch the muscles and nerves, will stimulate the circulation, lubricate the joints and relieve muscle and nerve tightness. They can be done sat at your desk, and take only a few minutes to do:

1- Stretch your head from side to side (i.e. ear to shoulder)

2- Breathe in, pull the chin in to make a double chin, hold for 5 seconds then relax.

3- Stand up, put the palms in the small of the back, and gently bend backwards.

4- Interlock the fingers; turn the palms to face away from you and lift the arms up so the palms face the ceiling Now stretch the arms back behind the head.

5- Stretch the arms back to each side at about hip height Keep the elbows straight and then bend the wrists back (palms facing out). Try to get the arms as far back behind the body as possible You may feel some pulling in the arms and hands.

6- Gently curl the fingertips of the right hand into the palm. Keep the right elbow straight and with the left hand passively bend the right wrist so that the palm side of that hand moves towards the inside of the forearm. Repeat on other side.

You need to do these movements regularly, one or two stretches every 20 minutes are better at relieving fatigue than longer exercise breaks taken less frequently. Make the exercises automatic so you do not have to think about doing them.

Computer Ergonomics

1- Ensure the chair back is adjusted so that your upper body is relaxed and supported.

2- Your lower back needs to be supported by the chair, alter the angle so that your lower back is supported. You may still need extra support and can add a cushion in the small of your back. You should change the angle during the day to vary your sitting posture and avoid being in one static posture all day.

3- Adjust your seat height. Sit in front of your computer and adjust your seat height so that your forearms are horizontal and wrists are straight when your hands are placed on the keyboard. With your shoulders relaxed the underside of the elbow should be at desk height.

4- If there is pressure on the back of your thighs find something to rest your feet on.

5- If your feet are not comfortable on the floor find something to rest your feet on. Shorter people often lower the seat so their feet are on the floor, but this can mean that your arms are not at the correct height for the keyboard (7).

6- The space under your desk should allow you to place your legs underneath without twisting or leaning, or being squashed under a low desk.

7- Double-check that your forearms are horizontal and wrists are straight when your hands are placed on the keyboard. With your shoulders relaxed the bottom of your elbow should be at desk height.

8- Ensure your wrists are not bent, use a wrist-rest (sometimes supplied as part of a keyboard).

9- Adjust your screen position - the top of the screen should be level with your eyes and you will then naturally look at the centre of the screen. If using a CRT monitor it may be necessary to move your desk away from the wall, so that you can push the monitor further away from your head to create a comfortable viewing distance. Ensure that tired eyes/headaches may result in problems relating to reading your screen. Ensure you do not have reflections or glare and if necessary try moving your screen to a different angle. Avoid sitting with windows or lights directly in front or behind your screen. If possible, sit with the screen at right angles to light coming through windows, if not use window blinds or curtains to cut out the light. Adjust the brightness and contrast controls on the screen to suit lighting conditions. Remember to keep your screen clean, and have your eyes tested regularly.

10- Organise your work area, ensure the keyboard and mouse are close when in use, that the desk is not cluttered. Use a document holder to raise documents to a comfortable height and viewing distance.

Spider man 3

Last night I watched the movie spider man 3. It was Awesome. For me the most interesting new character is the venom. The Way how Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) changes to venom is a very nice scene in the movie. The new goblin actions are also nice. The role of the new goblin is different compared to the Goblin in Spiderman 1. Special effects are outstanding, especially the scene that Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) transformed into the Sandman.

In Spiderman 3 you can see 2 new characters as well as a new look of the Spiderman, after peter parker was bond by an alien entity. I will say Spiderman three is full of surprises.

A .....Blank .......Blank ....Day

Yesterday (4th May 2007) was a heavy rainy day in srilanka. Online news says dozens of people died in the yesterday’s rainstorm.

In event of yesterday’s heavy rain our home area also was badly hit. Roads were flooded. All the houses in the area were filled with junk waters. Garbage’s were freely floating around the area like boats in a river. Heavy rain mad it impossible for people to stop waters getting inside their houses. But People kept busily working protecting their properties.

Our house also was badly hit. Waters were all over the downstairs of the house. Kitchen looks like a swimming pool. Sitting room and garage was filled with junk brownish waters. We got no choice to drain water. So we stayed until the rain smooth down. Later we cleaned the house, shifting all the furniture’s in the sitting room. And mop up the entire place with liquid soap. We were afraid that it might start to rain heavily again, wasting all the works we did. Luckily it didn’t rain heavily. But non stop rain went through out the day.

Reports says in the yesterdays rain a black hole emerged creating a 15feet in diameter in the middle of the road (opposite Roxy Cinema at Colombo 6 (Wellawatte)). “Officials have been called to the scene, and the government says action will be taken to reconstruct the road as soon as possible.” As referred in the http://www.colombopage.com.

A frightening night in Srilanka

It was 1: 11am early in the morning of 29th April 2007. I was startled for a loud sound. I waited in shock for the sound I heard. After 10 minutes later power went off. I knew it was not only from my room, it was from whole Colombo (Srilanka Capital). I heard the ‘brmph’ of the bombs as they hit the ground and exploded. I quickly rushed near to the window and looked out side from my room. I felt like I was in a different world and something like a dream. I was freeze. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I see heavy gun firing in the air. I quickly rushed out from my room. By the time my brother and two of the friend’s at home were also awake.

We stayed together. We didn’t even know what to do. We call one person after another. We were in shock, don’t know what was wrong. Neighborhood people were out from their houses. They told that Tamil Tiger are attacking from their war plans. We got scared much more than we were.

After 20 minutes of heavy gun firing everything went normal. Power supply also came back. Quickly we went to see the online news from Internet. It wants be 5 minute, again power supply was cut, same time gun firing started again. We all stayed near the balcony. We can see no light at all only the gun firings in the sky. Crowded black clouds obscure the moon light. So we see only the gun fires. After a few minutes later a Military jet went above our area. We all were word less. We stayed until the morning sunrise. At 5:00 clock we went to sleep. Tamil tiger planes went back after an air strike to a fuel refinery and gas storage facility in Colombo. Last night was really a vivid night.

Build your house Wisely

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!

What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

We can now say that we humans are in love with computers. Hmmm. Sounds crazy right?

What I want to bring to your mind is head of our houses the most useful contraption of all time. Our brain is a finely tuned machine that even smatters than the world’s best computer. In fact the brain is kind of like a super computer. So Let us use both our brain and computers. Let us love to use our own ideas but not computers. Otherwise there might be a day that computers take over the world and starts to rule the Earth. Eeheheheh.

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

What am I going to post today?

Whenever I open my blog, first thing comes to my mind is. “What am I going to post today?” Hmm. Sound Silly Right? Reason is, I don’t know which one to post first, either my designs or the thoughts waiting in my mind to express in words.

My blog is my spare time partner. Everyday I check my blog. I read the comments sent by my blog readers. I thank them for expressing their thoughts about my articles and designs. They are the reason y I am still boiling the pot.

My cronies sometimes complain me “Y I always post poems in my blog”. I think it’s a good question. The main reason y I write my thoughts as poems is, I feel that the best way to express my feelings and best way to play with other person’s feelings is writing words in a meaningful way. So the meaningful words in short form comes from poems. Other reason y I post poems in my blog is. Writing poem is one of my hobbies; to make my field of poem writing a more precious one and to give practice to myself I started posting it in my blog. I think people who have read my poems have enjoyed reading it during the past seven months.

I am not a writer but a person in hope of being a writer. So to paint my dreams with beautiful colors I started posting articles in my blog. I hope that the keys to success will unlock my dreams someday.

Looking for bad qualities

There are two important lessons to learn from the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be on him.

"A believing man (husband) should not hate believing women (Wife): if he dislikes one character in her, he will like another one":

The first is: It gives guidance in the way to deal with wives, friends, relations, colleagues and anyone with whom you have a relationship or association. It teaches that you have a relationship or association. It teaches that you have to prepare yourself to accept the fact that any person with whom you have one sort of relationship or another will definitely have imperfections, bad qualities or some character that you would not like. So if you find that in him, think of what is incumbent on you, or proper for you to do regarding maintaining the tie of relationship, and preserving the bond of love and affection between you. Bring to mind his good qualities, and the importance the religion attaches to maintaining good social relations. By overlooking bad qualities, and bringing to mind the good ones, bonds of relationship and good companionship are maintained, and this is another source of harmony.

It teaches us how to ward off grief and worry, and bring about an honest and sincere relationship in which each party fulfils his obligations and dues to the other, and harmony is maintained between them. The one who does not work with this teaching of the prophet, peace and blessing of Allah be on him, and does the opposite, whereby he busies himself with noticing the bad qualities and ignoring the good ones, there is no doubt that he will be overtaken by worries and anxieties, and there is no doubt also that the bond of love that is between him and those he loves will be cut, and many of the rights and obligations of both parties will be flouted.

Many people with high aspiration and inner energy are able to prepare themselves to deal with heavy calamities and adversities with patience and tranquility, but when they are faced with small and trivial issues, they become worried and anxious, and their hearts lose their clarity of thought and become turbid. The reason behind this is that they were able to prepare themselves to deal with situations, and they ignored the minor ones, as a result of which the things they regarded as insignificant took them off their guard and unsettled their peace. The real strong person prepares himself to deal with both great and insignificant issues, and asks the help of Allah in that, and that Allah does not leave him to himself even for blink of an eye. When he does that, the small issues become easy for him to handle just as the big ones, and he maintains his composure, happiness and tranquility.

KANDY TRIP

On 5th November 2006 we went on a one day trip to Kandy
Our first walk was to a garden safe from sandy
It’s Peradeniya Garden, smiling frankly!
Green and beauty of the world was rich in there
Nicely planted trees and wisely constructed roads
We jump back and forth to see every sight at once
Some stood in pauses to take photos
While others gazing around
Bats and birds laughing at us
Selfish for the freedom they have got
Proud of the beautiful world they have got
We saw lots of Beautiful Flowers and water fountains
Variety of trees showing the history of the garden
And Coconuts trees hiding the mystery of patch
Orchid flowers full of beauty
Seems like they are the glories
Pleasant Fragments from the flowers
And the dancing fishes in the ponds kept us fooling around
We wrote our name on the trees
Leaving a mark for history
After 2 hours of walk around the garden
Time came for us to say good bye

After one and half hour of walk
We reached the top of the mountain
Where the temple was situated
Place was nice and our destiny was in our fist
We looked around that place for a while
And took some photos at sights
I looked up into sky
I saw silver clouds gathering slowly
We knew it was a trick to rune our trip
So we hurried to reach bottom
After one hour of pain walk
we made it to our bus
While we were having our lunch

First rain drop hit on the ground
At last we were saved from the rain
And we headed to our home safe in the bus

It 's a rainy day in srilanka
21st October 2006
Non stop rain flooded lots of area
I stood out from my room,
To watch the heavy rain
It was night, but it seems like it was day
I looked up into the sky
What I can see was angry clouds,
Smashing each other creating big thunders
No moon to light up the darkness of the night
But the lightening took the job of the moon
People running back and fro, for shelter
Small kids getting pleasure from the rain
Everybody at work hurrying to go home,
To get the comfort of the night
It’s so pleasant to feel cold,
After a long time of no rain

Education is thinking

The three aim of a pupil are to possess the power of proper thinking, mutual understanding and the search for the ultimate truth. These three will develop one into a balanced personality.

Thinking should be cultivated and not learnt. Education is thinking. This is what the world is in need of. Our education consists of the perfect development of the body, mind and morals. Mind and body are connected and if one is affected, the other also would be affected. So, we should aim at the development of both body and mind. Morals are guides to them. They take the pupils right in the direction of ultimate truth.

Earth is the home of us. Just as the members of a home unite and do things for their progress, the people of the world should unite to make theire home, the world happy. True thinking will lead the way to a realization of ultimate truth.

Ultimate truth should be the aim of everyone. At present, everyone is ignorant of it. If any one says he knows it, he is the most ignorant.

The wold is a puzzles. It is entirely unknown to us. The aim of us should be to find it out as a man of wisdom does. To achieve this purpose, we should make their lives purposeful. To do this, one requires descipline and planing.

SIGN OF ALLAH

Bird uses great energy when it takes flight because it has to lift all its body with its tiny wings. Yet, once it is up in the air, Allah has made it easy for it to remain aloft without expending too much effort. Birds can fly for a long time by allowing themselves to rely on the wind. This way, they hardly tire since they consume very little energy. When the effect produced by the wind diminishes, they begin to flap their wings again. By means of this feature Allah has given birds, they can cover very long distances and migrate to remote destinations.

It is interesting that birds' legs, so slender and little in comparison to their bodies, can carry their entire bodies.

It is amazing that so many muscles, veins and nerves can exist in such a slender leg! If birds' legs were thicker and relatively more bulky, it would be more difficult for them to fly.

Almost all birds sleep on one leg. This does not upset their balance since their body weight is concentrated on this one leg. Allah has created birds with the features that enable them to maintain such a delicate balance.

It was a bautiful night of waxing crescent

I met her with lots of presents

We spend the night near the beach

Couting the stars from deep

Beautiful song that sang from wind

Blew away my fear from night

What I can see far from sight

Was the sign of moon light

When the world was asleep

I thought to release three word of sweet

But she bottle up all my words

And threw it away into deep

ONE OF MY DRAWING

This is my first 3D graphics done by using corel draw. This still life drawing is one of my best presented one. It is special for many reasons, for beign the first drawing using corel draw and for the experiences and the new things I discoverred while I was drawing this .

After this 3D cent bottle now I have done many other such drawing using corel draw and corel paint.

I hope to display my other drawings in future in this site. Hope u like it.

RAMALLAN MUBARAK

I send my deepest greetings of this holly month of Ramallan to all my sisters and brothers in all over the world.

Ramallaan is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar calendar, during which we fast during the day. It is the month in which the Quran was revealed to the founder of Islam, the prophet Muhammad (Sal.A.Wslam).

It also is the time to renew and strengthen our relationship with Allah.

May allah bless all of us and show us the Right path of life.

One night, Ahmed was walking home when, all of a sudden, a thief jumped on him. Ahmed and the thief were begun to wrestle. They rolled about on the ground and Ahmed put up a tremendous fight. However, the thief managed to get the better of him and pinned him to the ground. The thief then went through Ahmed pockets and searched him. All the thief could find on Ahmed was 25 Laari. The thief was so surprised at this that he asked Ahmed why he had bothered to fight so hard for 25 laari. "Was that all you wanted?" Ahmed replied, "I thought you were after the five hundred dollars I've got in my shoe!"
